Summer essential - Feel Good Sunscreens.
Posted on 30 January 2018
As Australians, we all love a good day in the sun, but for those of us who have sensitive skin, sunscreen can be a real issue. However, I have found an amazing sunscreen that you just have to try: Introducing Feel Good Sunscreens.
When I was on holiday in Margaret River last year with my husband, we went to the White Elephant Cafe (https://www.whiteelephantcafe.com.au) in Gnarabup and as I purchased my delicious coffee, I noticed they had some sunscreen for sale. In need of sunscreen at the time, I purchased a pretty peach coloured bottle - Sensitive Sunscreen Lotion 50+ - and I have never looked back.
The sunscreen is light, non oily and keeps you protected all day long (as long as you keep re-applying at recommended intervals). The great thing about this sunscreen is that it is design in Australia, made in Australia and approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration. Feel Good Sunscreen is also great for your health and environment because it does not have a bunch of nasty ingredients such as Oxybenzone, Paras, Paragons or Preservatives. All these ingredients can do some pretty nasty stuff to your body. Oxybenzone in particular, can be absorbed into your skin and stay in your system for an unknown amount of time, as well as damaging our coral reef system. And we don't want either of those!
Throughout the past year, I have gone though so many bottles of the Sensitive Sunscreen and it really holds its weight. Over the Australia Day long weekend, we were back down in Margs and I purchased the Coconut Lotion this time. Although I felt this cream was a little thicker to put on than the Sensitive, it smelt amazing and kept up with the sun protection that the Sensitive lotion offers.
